Make sure that all the check boxes are selected: “Log file”, “Content information” and “Other information”. A memory card reader/writer (either external or integrated into the computer / laptop) must be used in order to install. Insert the memory card into the memory card reader/writer, place the Mini/Maxi CD/DVD in the computer CD/DVD drive and press the "Install" tab on the automatically opened window. Then follow the instructions on the screen.
In case the automatic installation does not work properly, the manual installation is strongly recommended. A memory card reader/writer (either external or integrated into the computer / laptop) must be used in order to install. The installation procedure is the following:
1. Insert the memory card into the memory card reader/writer (either external or integrated into the computer / laptop). The memory card will appear as a "Removable disk" in "My computer". Format the memory card in FAT (for memory cards up to 2 GB capacity) or in FAT32 (for memory cards bigger than 2 GB capacity).
2. Insert the ROUTE 66 Mini/Maxi CD/DVD in the computer's CD/DVD drive.
3. A window opens automatically. Select the “Browse content” option.
4. For the Mini/Maxi Regional device select and open the "MemoryImage" folder. Copy the content of the "MemoryImage" folder (“Route66", “Data”, “Device”) from the Mini/Maxi CD/DVD to the root of the memory card.
5. For the Mini/Maxi Europe device select the “MemoryImage” folder and copy it to the computer. Open the “MemoryImage” folder, select the folder “Data – AudioRes” and delete the “speech” files that will not be used (the foreign language files). Copy then all the files and folders from the “MemoryImage” folder (“Route66", “Data”, “Device”) and paste them on the root of the memory card.
6. When the data copying is finished, remove the memory card from the reader/writer and insert it into the device.
7. Turn on the device and launch the ROUTE 66 application.
