It is very likely that the problem is caused by an incorrect map download. Please reinstall the ROUTE 66 Sync application and redownload the map content.

In some cases, when the ROUTE 66 Sync encounters errors or unexpected behaviour, it is recommended to send an error report to the ROUTE 66 technical support team. This report can help fix the issue.
Connect the device to the computer via a USB cable and start the ROUTE 66 Sync application. In the menu bar, select “Help – Generate error report”. Make sure that all the check boxes are selected: “Log file”, “Content information” and “Other information”. Enter the requested information: your e-mail address and a message describing the error that had occurred.
Click on the “Send” button to transmit the error report.

This error usually occurs when the device internal memory is too low. Before installing the application, please check the system requirements and make sure that there is enough free runtime memory on the device.
The available memory can be checked in "Start – Settings – System – Memory – Programs".
Before installing the navigation application, please format the memory card. You can check the installation instructions for details about memory card formatting and correct installation.
If the issue persists, please back-up the content of your device and do a hard reset of the device (restore the device to the factory settings). Then, reinstall the application.

Make sure that the Active Sync USB connection mode is enabled on the device. Depending on the device model, please go to Start - Settings - Connections - USB connection mode - Active Sync .
If the computer's Operating System is Windows XP, download and install the Microsoft ActiveSync component to synchronize the device to the computer. This can be downloaded from the following link:

If the computer's Operating System is Windows Vista, the synchronization settings will be managed through the Windows Mobile Device Center that can be downloaded from the following link:
